Anxiety Relief Through Design: A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Our EchoMind Posters

Public speaking is one of the most common sources of anxiety—especially for students. Our project, EchoMind, aims to address this problem using virtual reality practice environments that help users build confidence before presenting in real life.

When we started working on our digital marketing idea, EchoMind, we wanted our visuals to instantly connect with people who struggle with presentation anxiety.

In this blog post, we'll take you through the creative thinking behind each poster, why we made certain design choices, and how the set works together as a unified marketing campaign.

EchoMind Presentation Anxiety Poster

"Presentation anxiety can be a problem"

This poster is designed to capture exactly how presentation anxiety feels. The character in the middle is covering their face, which represents embarrassment, panic, or the fear of being seen. Surrounding them are multiple eyes looking directly at them — symbolizing that overwhelming feeling of being watched and judged when you're speaking in front of a group.

The combination of the large bold text and the emotional illustration is meant to grab attention quickly. Once we've shown the problem, the line "LET'S FIX IT" introduces EchoMind as the solution. The QR code and link at the bottom make it easy for people to find out more.

We chose this poster as our central one because it clearly sets up the problem EchoMind aims to solve: helping people practice presentations in VR so they can feel calmer, more confident, and more prepared.

Key Design Elements

  • Staring eyes communicate social pressure and the feeling of being watched.
  • Soft illustrative style makes the topic approachable rather than intimidating.
  • Bold text, "Let's Fix It", introduces EchoMind as the solution.
  • A QR code and link make the poster actionable, encouraging viewers to learn more.

Marketing Purpose

This poster creates awareness and emotional connection. It speaks directly to anyone who has felt stage fright and makes them feel understood before presenting the solution.

Side Posters

Alongside our main poster, we also created two additional supporting posters. These are visually different and each brings a unique vibe to the campaign while keeping the overall theme consistent.
